3. Maintenance
Ensuring the longevity of your premium bathroom products is essential for uninterrupted performance over time.
3.1 Certain water sources may contain elevated levels of lime and calcium, which can accumulate on surfaces. Regularly cleaning all glass and frame surfaces is necessary.
3.2 It’s advisable to squeegee glass surfaces after use to prevent water from drying and causing calcium and lime scale buildup.
3.3 For electroplated and powder coated surfaces, use a soft, damp cloth for regular cleaning. Mild liquid detergent or soap with water is suitable for removing dirt.
3.4 Lubricating rollers, hinges, and pivots periodically is recommended for smooth operation. Suitable lubricants include Vaseline, motor oil, sewing machine oil, CRC, or olive oil.
3.5 Coastal areas with high airborne salt concentrations require frequent surface cleaning to prevent corrosion.
4. Necessary precautions
4.1 Avoid using cleaning agents that contain acid, bleach, ammonia, or abrasive creams.
4.2 Refrain from using rough scouring pads for cleaning purposes.
4.3 Certain areas in Australia have water with elevated pH levels or mineral concentrations. Prevent prolonged contact of water with product surfaces.
4.4 After each use, wipe down the surfaces.
5. Exclusions
5.1 Normal wear and tear includes the natural degradation over time of the relevant product when used as directed for residential purposes.
5.2 This warranty does not cover leaks that occur over time due to the degradation of silicone sealant.
5.3 BSS holds no liability for product installations where BSS was not the installer, nor for any warranty claims resulting from incorrect installation.
5.4 The warranty excludes damage caused by accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, normal wear and tear, calcium or lime deposits, mould, rust stains, corrosion, surface pitting due to exposure to salty air or corrosive materials, colour changes occurring with time, or use contrary to standard residential use.
5.5 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, BSS will not be liable for labour costs, replacement costs of third-party goods, or any incidental or consequential damages incurred during or after installation, repair, or replacement, including any other losses or damages arising from defective products.
